Barry and Linda Taylor divide their time between raising sheep and running their custom carding business in the beautiful Tarboo Valley of Quilcene, WA. Barry's experience with wool started as a child growing up in a mill town in Yorkshire, England, Australia, and finally America, and now on the Olympic Peninsula operating Taylored Fibers. Linda's love of animals and her experience with spinning and dying fiber was a perfect match, and with the purchase of their farm, the opportunity was there for the realization of Taylored Fibers
|Their custom carding service is based on a very
personal approach. No job is too small and each is tailored to fit the
client's needs. Clients can have their fiber processed into batts or
roving, blended with other types of fiber, or with different colors.
Taylored Fibers also produces processed and dyed fibers for sale. Using fiber from local producers, blends are created of natural colors and acid dyes to create a rainbow of colors. Each "crop" of new colors and blends is unique and variations are endless.
